My first trip to Norway has left me feeling enamoured. The scenery was every bit as stunning as I expected (and then some!). The snow fell and was unexpectedly beautiful, at times we were walking around our own winter wonderland, and at times the sun shone brightly as spring crept in. The people we met were every bit as beautiful and welcoming as the landscape. The food was as fresh as the air (cinnamon buns and baked goods are to die for).
People went out of their way to help us-in the more touristy areas, but also in the cities. Commuters checked map routes on their phones for us or made calls to help us out. Of course this might not be everybody’s experience, but it was ours.
My first impression of Norway and its’ two biggest cities is one of elegance and quality, or “Kvalitet” in Norwegian. It was green, clean and forward-thinking.
I cannot wait to return!
